The Great Moghul
Hints on Solving the Mystery...

Some More Hints

a) Have you searched the notebook?
b) The handkerchief has got blood on it but Dr. Green, the Home Office pathologist, said Percy had only suffered from tuberculosis in the past. If the blood has nothing to do with tuberculosis, where might it have come from?
c) Is there any real reason to suspect that Percy did not in fact die of natural causes, as the pathologist suggested?
d) The piece of metal looks really, really old.
e) There is no sign of a rail ticket to Leeds or anywhere else so it doesn't look as though Percy was planning to make any other train journey except back to Great Dyall.
f) Why did Percy leave the theatre so abruptly?
g) The postcard was posted from Bristol Temple Meads Station at about the time Percy caught a train heading north.
h) The train times on page two of the notebook suggest Percy was planning to make a brief return detour to Mangotsfield. Could he have ended up in Leeds by mistake?
i) Could the red glass nugget in the pill bottle be just a decoy? If so, where did it come from?
j) There is more to the press cuttings than meets the eye.
